Ron Chrysler Bursary

The Ron Chrysler Bursary was created by friends and family in honour of Mr. Chrysler’s retirement. Mr. Chrysler retired in June 2006 from his position as Vice President Administration at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario. He is a Chartered Accountant by profession and was recently named Fellow of the Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants. Mr. Chrysler served as the Secretary of the Board of Governors at Laurentian University from 1980-2006, and was past President of both the Council of Senior Administrative Officers of Ontario Universities and the Canadian Association of University Business Officers.
Mr. Chrysler has also served on the Board of the Northern Cancer Research Foundation, and the United Way of Canada. This bursary will be awarded to one returning female and one returning male athlete student enrolled at Laurentian University. The bursary will be awarded on the basis of participation in interuniversity athletics, demonstrated financial need, and Ontario residency as defined by OSAP. Award recipients must meet CIS (Canadian Interuniversity Sport) eligibility and AFA (Athletic Financial Award) guidelines. Value is $500. Application is required.
