Awarded to a student who has completed 3rd year as either an HBScF or an HBEM student. The individual must have natural resource related work experience, demonstrate qualities of citizenship and leadership. The applicant must also have a demonstrated interest in an aptitude for the values and principles underlying the Naysmith Scholar Award as described in the Frame of Reference, through class discussion, written work and/or field-school activities. Applicants are also required to submit a current resume and a brief account (800 word maximum) expanding upon some of his or her experiences before and/or during the past threes years that relate to the Naysmith Scholar Frame of Reference. Applicants may be asked to meet with the appointed selection committee.
