LUAA-Alumni Association Bursary For Adult Learners – Les MacDonald Bursary

Established through a bequest from the late A. Les McDonald. Mr. McDonald credits much of his success in life to having had the opportunity to complete a degree at Laurentian University as a mature student. He also served as the President of the Laurentian University Alumni Association from 1975 to 1979 and as a member of the Laurentian University Board of Governors from 1978 59 1987. His motivation for creating this award was to provide assistance to others, who, like himself, decide to return to their studies later in life. The Laurentian University Alumni Association Bursary for Adult Learners is awarded to students in good academic standing in any year of study at Laurentian University, who were admitted after an interruption of three years or more in their studies and can demonstrate financial need. The recipient must be a resident of Ontario as defined by OSAP. Value is variable. Bursary application is required.
