Blaine and Lise Nicholls Design Build Award

Established by Blaine and Lise Nicholls in celebration of the newly created School of Architecture at Laurentian University.
Blaine became a member of the Ontario Association of Architects in 1977 and was the project lead and driving force behind the establishment of the School of Architecture at Laurentian University. He has been responsible for a wide range of projects in Northeastern Ontario including: Science North, Health Sciences North, Pioneer Manor and the Northern Ontario School of Medicine at Laurentian University. Lise is a graduate of Laurentian University, having obtained her B.Sc Nursing in 1985.
The purpose of this award is to provide funding to a student(s), who is enrolled in the School of Architecture program and participating in the Design Build Studio. Recipient(s) will be selected at the discretion of the Director and will promote unique thinking, innovation and creativity. Value is variable. Application is required.
